Script terms

1 sentence pitch- Any story in any medium that can be summarised in one sentence.

Logline- It's a one-sentence summary of a script.

Synopsis- An outline of the plot of a play, film, or book.

Character Bio- Biography of the characters in the story.

Storyline- Plot of the book, play or film.

Scene Breakdown- A crossplot that displays the locations, characters, and script pages necessary to each scene. Careful annotations of each scene in a play, with all necessary actors listed and some indication of the action and setting.

Beats- Sequence of events that the characters engages in. This series must occur in a sequence leading to the end of the story.

Plots/ Sub plots- The main events of a play, novel, movie, or similar work, devised and presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence.

Turning Points- A time at which a decisive change in a situation occurs, esp. one with beneficial results

Climax- The most intense, exciting, or important point of something; a culmination or apex

Script- The written text of a play, movie, or broadcast

Hook- A cut to captivate the viewers. A teaser.

Motive- The goals of the character.

Conflict- Problems between the characters in a story.

Resolution- The result of the conflict in the story.

Outcome- The conclusion of the story.
